A Unique Family Resort!

The Sunset Cabins are a landmark in Grand Marais. Tall pines shade our location on the banks of the old Sucker River, overlooking Lake Superior.   We're the perfect vacation retreat.

Our Accommodations:

• Modern cabins, fully furnished with linens, towels, and kitchen necessities 
• All new full and king sized beds 
• Cable TV

• A magnificent view of Lake Superior. 
• Cabins all have decks, fire pits, and charcoal grills  
• Weekly rentals only(Sat. to Sat) mid-June t0 September. 
  Three day minimum the rest of the year.

Whether you like to fish, hunt for rocks, or simply read a good book while relaxing on the beach, we've got it all for you to enjoy!  Our sugar sand beach is the perfect place to unwind and watch the big lake freighters pass by.  Conveniently located close to snowmobile and cross country ski trails.

Cabin #4	Larger one-bedroom with king bed, and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Plus, additional 10 x 12 rustic cabin with king bed, heat, electricity and TV. Cabin #5	This is a two-bedroom house with 1300 square feet - perfect for a family. One bedroom has a king-size bed; the other bedroom has two queen-size beds. Included are a fireplace, washer, dryer, dishwasher, and cable TV. Log Cabin in School Forest	Our newest rental, just a half of mile to the east of us by water, a five mile drive by car through the School Forest. Situated ideally between Lake Superior, East Bay and Mirror Lake. The Lodge itself was newly constructed last fall. It should accomodate up to 10 people. There are two bedrooms and a large loft with bed and second bath with a sitting area with a futon couch. As the pictures show it is beautiful inside and out with awesome views and privacy. Click for more photos. This is a property management lodge and the owners have requested no smoking or pets. They are very proud of it and hope everyone treats it with care and respect. Rates from mid-June through August: Weekly rates only. $1500 per week. Weeks run Friday-Friday. Check-in time 5:00pm, check-out time 10:30am. The rest of the year: $1200 per week, $450 per weekend (Friday and Saturday night). $200 per night the rest of the week with a two night minimum. Check our rental calendar for availability.
